questions other than listed below, please do not hesitate

Q. What does a website cost?
A. The cost of a website, or other
project, depends on:
- the size of the project (i.e. number of pages,
technical requirements, availability of content);
- the expressed needs of the client (administration
system, training, dynamic content);
- the purpose of the project.
Once these factors are decided upon, We make a offer
at a flat price, including all services (though
not including extraordinary costs).
Payment is charged half in advance, half upon completion
of the project, unless otherwise negotiated.
Q. Why should
my company invest in a website?
A. A simple and well designed website
gives customers an interactive experience with your
business without even visiting the premises. Research
has shown that the addition of a URL (www.yourname.com)
on your advertising increases the chance of a customer
responding to your advert. As a business channel in
its own right the Internet can open up international
markets which were previously unavailable.
Q. How long does it take for
you to make a website?
A. As with the cost, the amount of time needed
for a project depends greatly on its scope. It also
depends to some extent on the client, namely in how
much feedback the client provides. Naturally a project
goes faster if all content is already prepared and ready
to go; it depends on the number of pages, type of deployment
and so on. Generally a basic, no-frills site can be
done in less than three weeks. However, a website can
run into weeks and months if there is a lot of groundwork
to be done, or if complex data integration is needed.
The best thing to do is make sure your content is already
prepared (or at least have information ready so that
the content can be quickly arranged), and get in touch
with us.
Q. What is
a domain Name and why do I need one?
A. A domain is an Internet address
that allows browsers to enter your address in the browser
address window and come direct to your site. Your chosen
Domain Name should be relevant to your current business
name or your type of business.
Q. Do I need to have a computer
to have a website?
A. No, the website sits on our server's
which are constantly connected to the Internet allowing
visitors to access you site 24/7. As I take care of
all the design you don't need a computer and can get
on with business as usual. However to check your email
you must have a computer, or access to one.
Q. What are your billing policies?
A. Contracted projects are billed in two installments:
half-payment upon beginning the project, half upon completion.
General maintenance and other non-contracted work is
billed hourly basis. Invoices are submitted via postal
mail.
Late payments may be charged additional fees and penalties.
Q. Is Banner
Advertising Effective?
A. Yes and No. Banner advertising is
effective if you have a banner that is displaying on
a site that has services or products that complement
yours. Most banners are purchase in places like the
search engines or local newspapers - these are not always
effective because people in those areas are not looking
your services most of the time.
Q. Do Links
Help My Site?
A. Yes and No. Only certain links will
provide value to your site and help to get it listed
higher in the search engines. For instance, a link that
you place to Yahoo! will not help you. It only benefits
them. But, if you place a link to Yahoo! and they provide
a link back to you - that constitutes a good link and
will be very valuable.
Q. Can I Have
Links With Anyone?
A. No. You need to make sure that the
website you are exchanging links with provide a service,
product or offer some information that is relevant to
your business. Just because you like a website doesn't
mean you should link. You also need to make sure that
they have a good Page Rank, preferably a 5/10 or higher. |
